# Wallet Balance

> WaaS endpoint: get USDC balance for an ERC-8004 registered agent.

`agent_id` is either the agent's wallet address (EVM 0x..., Base mainnet)
or a numeric ERC-8004 agentId. A wallet must be registered in the
configured ERC-8004 Identity Registry (one balanceOf call); a numeric id
must have been minted (ownerOf does not revert). Either shape that is
well-formed but not found answers 404; a malformed value answers 422.

Fails closed rather than quoting a balance it could not read:
503 wallet_registry_unconfigured when no registry address is configured,
503 wallet_rpc_unavailable when the Base read fails or the breaker is
open past its 24h stale-cache ceiling.
